When a memory still has a grip on you, ART® can help you loosen it.

and spanishWhat is Accelerated Resolution Therapy®?ART® is a focused approach for experiences that still feel emotionally charged or continue to affect you in the present.
During ART®, you’ll focus on a memory, image, or feeling while I guide you through a series of smooth, back-and-forth eye movements. You remain awake, aware, and in control throughout the process. You also don’t have to retell every detail of what happened. We work with what feels appropriate for you, and you can pause at any time. ART® shares some similarities with EMDR, but it is a distinct therapeutic approach with its own structured protocol.
What ART® can help with?
Trauma and PTSD
Painful or intrusive memories
Anxiety and fears
Grief and loss
Distressing images or experiences that keep resurfacing
ART® can be used as a focused therapy on its own or incorporated into ongoing individual therapy when appropriate.
What a session looks likeWe’ll start by talking about what you’d like to work on and identifying the memory, image, or experience you want to focus on. I’ll explain the process and make sure you feel comfortable before we begin.
During the ART® portion, I’ll guide you through sets of smooth, back-and-forth eye movements while you focus on what you’ve chosen to work on. You remain in control throughout the process, and you can pause or stop at any time.
Afterward, we’ll take some time to notice what feels different and talk through what you experienced.
The goal is not to force anything, but to give you space to work through what has been feeling stuck.
